Lived in Mexico City for 11 years and I have had maaaaany tacos de canasta - this ones however, are head and shoulders above the rest. The flavors are delicious! Can't go wrong with any choice, but I would recommend the chicharron, for sure. Fantastic service and an incredible value. I was full with 3 of them, but I ended up having 5 - couldn't pass up the chance.

El cielo de los tacos/Taco Heaven! Great typical tacos in a little crowded place at a great price and with great service. The salsas aren't really hot by Mexican standards. I recommend the chicharron (pork skin), deshebrada (pulled meat) and mole verde. Yum!

Amazing and big tacos de canasta with the unique and famous salsa de chicharron. A must try if you are in the neighborhood. Great price for the size and I loved all the different fillings.

An own personal tradition. But this tacos are great to really know what a "Taco de Canasta" should be like, one of the best in town.

Amazing tasting "Basket Tacos". Among the best of this type in Mexico City. The free, chunky guacamole & pork crackling salsas are worth the visit on their own. Very generous portions for a fair price. A legend since the 1960s. Still just as good in 2023!

The best place for canasta tacos, they are huge and delicious, place is very small so likely you will be eating standing up.

We came here for one reason - chicharrone tacos. When our server reached into the basket, I could not have imagined that he would pull out the greasiest, fattiest, and one of the tastiest tacos we’ve ever had. I need to hammer home how greasy these were. They put to shame any double cheeseburger, any loaded chili cheese fries, any fried chicken that you could possibly conceive of. These are near weapons-grade tacos. I could feel my arteries hardening and my poor stomach bracing for impact as I stuffed these extraordinary tacos into my mouth, because how could I stop? With that texture, mostly fat with some crisp edges, and just enough taste contrast from bite to bite, these are the heaviest thing I’ve ever enjoyed. I would perfectly understand if someone thought they were disgusting, and honestly I think going here once was enough. But as far as a unique taco experience, this is one for the ages. Highly recommended.
